Thank you to Simpsons at Happy Plant for supporting us we really appreciate your support.💚 Supporting Local Charity 💚
We're delighted to announce that our team presented a cheque for £2,000 to local Peterhead charity Men United SCIO. It's the 2nd year in a row that we have supported this vital charity and a big thank you goes to all our customers who donated over the festive period!

Men United works so hard to support men's emotional and mental health in the local area and it was lovely to see Sandy from the charity, who popped in to the store on Monday.

“Mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of, but stigma and bias shame us all.”
Bill Clinton
Former US President

Poor mental health has terminal consequences. The suicide statistics amongst men are tragic, ever growing and desperately need reversing. To play our part in challenging the status quo we have established the following (non exhaustive) list of initiatives:

– weekly peer support groups (in person/ virtually)
– social networking opportunities for men to stay connected
– a mentoring programme to place volunteers alongside men who are going through a tough time
– workshops based on our HEX Model
